2023 Annual Report Released

We are pleased to publish our annual report covering the activity of the Scheme in 2023 (available here).

Landmarks and achievements during the year include:

  • 3.4 TWh of RGGOs retired/cancelled.
  • Growth in biomethane to grid plants to a total of 110, while trader accounts grew to 112.
  • Contributing to the GHG Protocol Carbon Removals and Land Sector Initiative – Bioenergy Technical Working Group, monitoring green tariff developments, submitting a joint response with REA to a government consultation on the design elements of a UK Low Carbon Hydrogen Certification Scheme, and supporting the REA on a range of policy issues around biogas, biomethane, and hydrogen.
